Older adults and people with disabilities often prefer to receive long-term care at home or in their communities, which is also more cost-effective for states. The American Rescue Plan Act provided states with a temporary increase in federal funding to improve care and support workforce for Medicaid home and community-based services. States are using ARPA funds to enhance these services in several ways, including improving infrastructure, addressing waiver wait lists, investing in the direct care workforce, improving access to telehealth, and addressing social drivers of health. This webinar will explore state strategies to support such services through ARPA spending plans.
