The overdose crisis remains a pressing public health emergency, with opioid-related deaths affecting communities across the nation. Emergency Medical Services clinicians play a critical role in responding to opioid-related emergencies, offering lifesaving interventions and connecting patients to care. As states increasingly recognize the role of EMS in overdose prevention, many are integrating EMS into pre-hospital and community-based behavioral health initiatives.
