The overdose crisis remains a pressing public health emergency, with opioid-related deaths affecting communities across the nation. Emergency Medical Services clinicians play a critical role in responding to opioid-related emergencies, offering lifesaving interventions and connecting patients to care. As states increasingly recognize the role of EMS in overdose prevention, many are integrating EMS into pre-hospital and community-based behavioral health initiatives. This webinar will explore how EMS can support overdose prevention efforts, identify legislative opportunities to strengthen collaboration between EMS and public health agencies, and highlight innovative state programs.
