The Leadership Staff Professional Association (LSS) invites all leadership staff, chiefs of staff, caucus staff, administrative staff in leader’s offices, personal and district staff to attend the 2019 LSS Professional Development Seminar (PDS) Aug. 4-5 in Nashville, Tenn.

LSS membership at a recent Summit seminar.Join your legislative colleagues from across the nation for a day and a half of networking and professional development.

LSS is the only staff professional organization specifically for and governed by leadership, caucus and personal staff from across the nation.

The seminar is a day and a half of programming designed by and for legislative staffers who work directly for members either in their office or in a caucus.  It’s also a low-cost addition to the Legislative Summit or a stand-alone opportunity to connect, network and learn from and with legislative peers; to provide valuable information and connections to take back to their legislatures. Sessions cover a wide variety of topics that focus on skills-based training and legislative institutional issues including:

  • Managing Leadership Changes
  • Best Practices for New Member Orientation
  • Policy Speed Learning
  • Ethics
  • And more!

We hope you’ll mosey on down to Nashville and have a boot scootin’ good time tuning up your leadership skills!
