The NCSL Blog

By Holly South

Twice a year, NCSL celebrates Legislative Staff Week to highlight legislative staff and their many and varied contributions to their legislatures.

You Rock post-itFrom drafting bills to keeping computer networks secure, legislatures couldn’t function without the staff working behind the scenes.

During the week of May 6 we’ll be promoting the work of legislative staffers around the country on our blog and social media, highlighting staff who’ve received accolades from their colleagues and peers, and offering free online professional development created with legislative staff in mind.

We encourage you to celebrate with us:

We’ll be drawing two names from the pool of nominees and recipients of NCSL shout-outs—each will win an Amazon Echo Dot! And we’ll award a special prize to legislative staff in the state receiving the most shout-outs!

Be sure to check out all the resources available to you as a member of NCSL, and above all, please let us know what we can do for you.

It’s NCSL’s way of saying thank you to the thousands of legislative staff around the country—we appreciate each and every one of you!
