Music legend Prince, who died last week at 57. was honored by his homestate legislature Monday.

The Pioneer Press reports: “The unusual remembrance came after a bipartisan cohort of representatives read a resolution honoring the musician. Earlier in the day, Senate members, many of whom wore purple, read the resolution and held a moment of silence in honor of the Minneapolis-born superstar.”
