Kristine Goodwin leads NCSL’s Center for Results-Driven Governing, which aims to strengthen the use of evidence to inform state budget and policy decisions. Previously, she contracted with national and state policy organizations to research and write about evidence-based state policy approaches for improving maternal and child health, addressing substance use disorders, strengthening Medicaid and promoting employment opportunities. She has a master’s degree in public and international affairs from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor’s in English and international studies from Iowa State University.
