Energy Policy Summit
Developing a Vision for America’s
Energy Future
America’s economic engine is fueled by energy. Its availability and
cost influence the nation’s industry, trade and financial well-being.
The rising cost of fuel affects every American. As Congress grapples
with ideas to strengthen energy supplies, states are seeking at solutions.
The Energy Policy Summit will:
- Explore the short and long-term energy options for power, transportation,
and heating fuels.
- Investigate ways to stabilize fuel prices.
- Examine the role that alternative fuels and new technologies
will play in the nation’s transportation sector.
- Weigh methods to improve security and reliability of energy infrastructures.
Working with energy experts, participants will engage in broad discussions,
as well as smaller breakout groups. The day will culminate with the development
of action items that participants can use to develop their own energy strategies,
while providing a framework for national efforts.
