2008 Election Pre-View

This year's legislative elections will bring inevitable change with nearly 80% of all legislative seats scheduled for elections.  Democrats head into the election holding nearly 55% of all legislative seats after a decisive victory in the last round.  Republicans may be poised to win back seats lost in 2006?  2008 is also critical politically because 642 state Senators will be elected this year who will be in office for the 2010 redistricting cycle--the redistricting ground war starts in earnest with this year's campaigns.
