Goals for State-Federal Action   POLICY:  Redistricting COMMITTEE: Redistricting and Elections TYPE:   Consent NCSL supports the right of state legislatures to conduct Congressional redistricting in accordance with the United States Constitution, state constitutions, and already existing federal laws. NCSL opposes federal legislation that would mandate a particular method of redistricting on the states.  Return to Fall Forum Policies December 2005
