LEGISLATION AND STATUTORY RESOURCES
Thomas	Legislative information site run by the Library of Congress through which you can access information on Legislation, the Congressional Record, and Committee Information.
Thomas State Resources	Search bill texts from all states and the District of Columbia. Also contains links to state home pages and agencies.
House Subcommittee on Health	Jurisdiction over public health and quarantine; hospital construction; mental health and research; biomedical programs and health protection in general, including Medicaid and national health insurance; food and drugs; and drug abuse.
House Committee on Education and the Workforce	Jurisdiction over ERISA.

Congressional Budget Office (CBO)	Provides the Congress with the objective, timely, nonpartisan analyses needed for economic and budget decisions and with the information and estimates required for the Congressional budget process.
HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES INFORMATION
U.S. Department of Health and Human (HHS) Services	The U.S. Government's principal agency for protecting the health of Americans.
HHS Data Council	This Gateway will help you find statistics and other data related to health and human services.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)	CDC serves as the national focus for developing and applying disease prevention and control, environmental health, and health promotion and education activities designed to improve the health of the people of the United States.
Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)	The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is a Federal agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Programs for which CMS is responsible include Medicare, Medicaid, State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), HIPAA, and CLIA.
U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Office of Civil Rights-HIPAA	The Food and Drug Administration promotes and protects the public health by helping safe and effective products reach the market in a timely way, and monitoring products for continued safety after they are in use. FDA-regulated products include common food ingredients, medical and surgical devices, lifesaving drugs, and radiation-emitting consumer and medical products. General Accounting Office (GAO)	Audit, evaluation, and investigative arm of Congress.
Government Printing Office (GPO)	Created primarily to satisfy the printing needs of Congress, GPO today is the focal point for printing, binding, and information dissemination for the entire Federal community.
Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance	The online Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance gives you access to a database of all Federal programs available to State and local governments (including the District of Columbia) and Territories (and possessions) of the United States.
