Medical Liability: State Legislative Experiences Webinar
Most states have taken up the issues surrounding medical malpractice and handle the issues surrounding the filing and processing of these cases in ways that are consistent with existing state law, giving due consideration to factors that may be unique to a particular state. This Webinar will highlight recent state legislation and include an update on federal legislation threatening preemption.

This program is designed to qualify for continuing legal education (CLE) credits in most states that have mandatory CLE. Through a partnership with the West LegalEd Center, NCSL is seeking pre-accreditation for CLE.
Speakers:
- Professor James Blumstein, University Professor of Constitutional Law & Health Law & Policy and Director, Vanderbilt Health Policy Center, Vanderbilt Law School, Tennessee
- Representative Vance Dennis, Tennessee
- Representative Brent Yonts, Kentucky
- Susan Frederick, Federal Affairs Counsel, National Conference of State Legislatures, Washington, D.C.
