Kick-Off Meeting of the Transportation Funding Partnership Committee

The Transportation Funding Partnership is a new project of NCSL designed to bring important transportation funding information and resources to the nation's legislatures.  This partnership will bring together key players in the transportation finance arena including members of the NCSL Transportation Committee, other key state legislators, transportation finance experts, state transportation agencies  and an array of private sector companies to create a guide for state legislators on innovative transportation funding solutions and options.

Driver's License Security (Joint with Law and Justice Committee)

The committee will hear about steps states are taking to improve driver's licenses and licensing procedures, the features of the proposed Driver's License Agreement, the progress of the negotiated reulemaking on driver's licenses and driver's license legislation in Congress.

Transportation Planning Capacity Building

Statewide transportation planning will be discussed by planners from the Federal Highway Administration.

The new NCSL Book Coordinated Human Services Transportation: State Legislative Approaches  will be discussed.  The NCSL report details state legislative action taken to improve the coordination of a variety of human service transportation programs administered by the states.
