Ride a ferry from Seattle to Bremerton, while hearing of the challenges faced by the state ferry system. At Bremerton, a briefing on intermodal transportation will occur. Meet at the Convention Center at 11:45 or the Colman Dock for a 12:10pm briefing and a 12:50 departure. Food for purchase is available on the ferry. With the passage of the REAL ID Act, states now have less than three years to meet rigid federal standards for driver's licenses and identification cards or face their invalidation for official federal purposes. The clock is ticking as states look to implement the costly mandates of this new national identification system while they assess what it means for privacy and civil liberties.

Driver distraction is blamed for almost one third of vehicle crashes and up to 10,000 deaths a year.
