Policies for Committee Consideration

The Economic Development, Trade & Cultural Affairs Committee will meet to consider expiring policy resolutions, new policies or amendment language, and other lobbying interests on April 5-8, 2006 during the NCSL 2006 Spring Forum in Washington, D.C.  If you have any new policies or amendments for the Committee to consider, please send them as soon as possible to:

Following are policies introduced at the NCSL 2005 Fall Forum (Dec. 2005, Chicago, Illinois), with anticipated action at the Spring Forum:

Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative

State Sovereignty to use Tax Policy for Economic Growth 
(Joint with Communications, Technology & Interstate Commerce)

 

The following policies are scheduled to expire in 2006 and reauthorizing drafts and action are anticipated. Current policy language is at the following:

Agricultural Trade

Export Promotion

Trade Relations with Cuba
