Legislator in the Lab Meetings Archive

legislators and doctorThe Legislator in the Lab program was started in 2008 as a way for state legislators to learn about cardiovascular disease from the nation's top medical professionals. Legislators visit top medical school laboratories for a day and a half and learn the latest tools to prevent, diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease in the general population, and in populations of color. Additional topics addressed during these meetings include current issues facing the medical profession and the value of each school's medical students.
