VETERANS EMPLOYMENT

Veterans with medical training develop a wide range of skills through military education, training and experience. However, due to differences between military and civilian health care industries, veterans often do not have the full range of education and skills necessary to meet civilian credentialing and licensure requirements. States are enacting various policies to remove barriers to employment and streamline the transition from military to civilian health care professions.

This web portal provides access to information about health policy issues important to veterans, such as traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, suicide prevention, credentialing and licensure requirements for veterans with medical training, and connecting veterans to military health services.
