Medicaid is the largest payer of long-term services and supports (LTSS), accounting for 41 percent of all LTSS spending in the United States. For this reason, many state Medicaid programs are experimenting with ways to improve the quality and efficiency of LTSS. One of the most common strategies that states are exploring is a move from traditional fee-for-service to a managed care delivery system for LTSS. This webinar examines the challenges states face in making this transition and give participants the opportunity to learn from the experiences of states who have made or are currently making the change to Medicaid managed LTSS.
