State Pretrial Policy: Bill Tracking Database

NCSL has partnered with the Laura and John Arnold Foundation to track significant state pretrial policy legislation, starting in 2018. Use this database to search for bills pending in your state or other jurisdictions.

This database is updated approximately every two weeks. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent update. The database is for information purposes only and does not indicate NCSL’s endorsement of the content.

• The summary may not reflect the most recent version of the bill. Access the most recent full text of each bill by clicking on the bill number.
• Bills may appear twice in carry over states. In these states, please check the last date of action to ensure the status of the bill reflects the appropriate year.
