Arkansas and Indiana were the two most recent states to enact a RFRA, both doing so in 2015.

Relates to state government, to provide for the preservation of religious freedom. Provides for related matters. Provides for an effective date and applicability. Repeals conflicting laws.

Hawaii

HB 823

Prohibits the state or any county from burdening any person's right to exercise religion absent that burden being the least restrictive means of furthering a compelling governmental interest.

Kentucky

HB 105

Defines protected activities, protected activity provider, protected rights place of public accommodation, resort, or amusement, and standard goods or services. Provides legislative intent. Prohibits any statute, regulation, ordinance, order, judgment, of other law or action by any court, commission, or other public agency from impairing, impeding, infringing upon, or otherwise restricting the exercise of protected rights by any protected activity provider.

Mississippi

Provides for the Mississippi Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Provides for the Protecting Freedom of Conscience from Government Discrimination Act.

Oklahoma

SB 530

Relates to the Oklahoma Religious Freedom Act. Relates to definitions and burden upon free exercise of religion. Modifies definitions. Authorizes certain action. Authorizes certain relief. Provides an effective date.

Virginia
