NCSL offers more than 20 meetings, seminars and professional development opportunities each year on the most important issues to states. Each summer, thousands of legislators and staff come together at the Legislative Summit, the largest legislative gathering in the nation, where you can choose from more than 160 different sessions on critical issues. NCSL’s Standing Committees hold forums each year to discuss state and federal issues, share ideas and guide NCSL’s lobbying efforts in Washington, D.C. We also provide special services for legislative leaders.
Legislatures cannot run effectively without professional, high-quality staff. NCSL offers a wealth of learning and professional development opportunities for state legislative staff. Staff members can come together and share common problems and information in one of NCSL’s 10 professional staff organizations. They can also share information through a variety of discussion forums. |
