Your "Access to 50 states"

Ask NCSL … Go to Ask NCSL and find the NCSL staff contacts organized by issue area, the list of NCSL staff assigned to work with your state, or to request research help online.

NCSL's state documents tracking system … Search through more than 10,000 state research documents to find legislation in other states, or sign up for email news on a variety of issues in our NCSLnet News Section.

Benefit from e-learning resources … Participate in webinars, wikis, blogs and other online training.

Find legislation in the 50 states, District of Columbia and Congress through NCSL's new 50-State Bill Information Service, a searchable database containing the full text of legislation for the current session.  Through a partnership with State Net you can access this new service which also provides additional legislative resources, such as weekly session schedules, session re-caps, and other state-specific resources.

Discussion Groups … Legislators and staff may exchange information and inquiries with their colleagues in other states through online discussion forums.

Note: NCSL hosts many e-mail listservs and online discussion forums providing email exchanges for legislators and legislative staff who are registered with the NCSL Web site.

You can view and participate in these newsgroups clicking on the link provided above or, from any of our web pages, clicking on the "Legislators and Staff Only" component of the navigation bar and follow the "Discussion Forums " link.

You may need to log on and register using your own name and assign yourself a password. Registration is normally processed the same day.
