NCSL serves the legislators and staffs of the nation's 50 states, its commonwealths and territories. It is funded by the states and governed by a 60-member executive committee. NCSL has three basic objectives: to improve the quality and effectiveness of state legislatures, to foster interstate communication and cooperation, and to ensure states a strong, cohesive voice in the federal system.

How to Register

On-line registration is available on the Internet, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

You can also fill out the registration form listed above and mail it to NCSL Registration, P.O. Box 17972, Denver, Colorado 80217.

Or fax the registration form to (303) 860-8057. Confirmations will be mailed.

The registration fee is payable in advance to the National Conference of State Legislatures or onsite. The deadline for pre-registration is April 3, 2002. Sorry, no onsite substitutions.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing and may be faxed to (303) 860-8057. Cancellations received in the NCSL Denver office by April 18, 2002, will be refunded minus a $50 processing fee. Fees cannot be refunded for registrations cancelled after the conference begins.

Hotel Reservations
The block of rooms reserved at the Hyatt Regency at the Superdome is sold out. Two hotels we are suggesting you consider are the Holiday Inn Downtown Superdome and the Le Pavillon Hotel. NCSL does not have a contract with either of these hotels however; they are both in walking distance from the Hyatt.

Travel Information
Make your reservations through Andavo Travel Services, NCSL's official travel headquarters by calling (303) 694-4344 or (800) 825-3283 ext. 2 to receive discounts on Delta and United Airlines. Reservations should be made as early as possible. Airport transportation is available through International Airport Shuttle Service. A reservation is required, the current rate is $10 per person, each way and the number to call is (504) 522-3500.
