NCSL Legislative Management Expert Assisting Iraq
Under a contract with The State University of New York/Center for International Development (SUNY/CID), NCSL provided a legislative management expert to work on parliamentary personnel recruitment, development, and administration issues for the Iraqi Transitional National Assembly. The NCSL staff member reports that in addition to developing a set of recommendations, he conducted a seminar session on the importance of human resources issues to legislative administration. He was stationed at the SUNY/CID office in Amman, Jordan.
