ME H.B. 1476 Directs the Public Utilities Commission to form a stakeholder group to define an appropriate means of collecting and remitting an E911 surcharge on prepaid wireless telephone service. |

Rhode Island
RI S.B. 2565 Public Law No. 2006-203 Requires the airport corporation to reimburse municipalities for the cost of primary response and command for all structure fire alarms on corporation property outside the airfield, E-911 reporting system calls for extrications, industrial accidents, motor vehicle accidents, confined spaced incidents, hazardous material incidents and spills outside the airfield, and secondary response to airfield incidents.

WA H.B. 2543 Chapter No. 2006-210 Relates to the enhanced 911 advisory committee; adds to the membership of the committee; requires the committee, on an annual basis, to provide an update on the status of enhanced 911 service in the state to the appropriate committees in the legislature. |

WV S.B. 728 Act No. 37 Requires directors of emergency dispatch centers to undergo background checks; precludes convicted felons from serving as emergency directors of emergency dispatch centers; authorizes the Public Service Commission to regulate enhanced 911 service fees from in-state two-way subscribers; requires an investigation on character and criminal background to be conducted by and at the expense of the State Police on certain persons to be employed in emergency dispatch centers. |
