Biomass:  A Many-Spendored Thing

Wood, food crops, and landfill methane gas are a few sources of biomass energy.  Biorefineries produce renewable fuels--most commonly ethanol and biodiesel--and other products from biomass resources.  States often use tax incentives to promote renewable fuel production from biomass.
