Responsibilities
The Executive Committee is responsible for:
- planning and executing a program for the annual meeting of the section,
for the Section's participation in the NCSL Annual Meeting, and for all other
meetings of the Section;
- keeping the Section's membership informed of developments relating to
their professional areas of interest;
- recommending formal actions as deemed appropriate;
- reviewing and recommending updates of the Section's Bylaws.
The Executive Committee consists of the officers of the Section and nine
Directors -- eight of which are elected. Along with the Section Chair, the
following members serve on the LINCS Executive Committee:

* According to LINCS Bylaws, one director may be appointed by the chair from
the state hosting the next annual professional development seminar, serving for
a term of one year beginning on January 1 and ending on December 31.
