Gary VanLandingham is Director of the Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability (OPPAGA), the research arm of the Florida Legislature. He has over 25 years of experience in conducting, leading and managing program evaluations and policy analyses at both the state and local government levels.
He has been active in NCSL for almost 20 years, and has served as chair of the National Legislative Program Evaluation Society, staff vice-chair of the Assembly on State Issues, and member of the NCSL Executive Committee. He received a Legislative Staff Achievement Award in 2000.
He has attended the Legislative Staff Management Institute, and has a BA from the University of Florida and a Masters and Ph.D. in Public Administration and Public Policy from the Florida State University.
He and his wife Cindy live in Tallahassee, Florida, and have two sons.
