NLPES Training Resources
The National Legislative Program Evaluation Society offers a wealth of learning and professional development opportunities for program evaluators, whether new or experienced. NLPES conducts an annual fall training conference to help program evaluators sharpen their skills in research, program evaluation, fiscal analysis, and other legislative procedures. NLPES members are also encouraged to become active in the NCSL Standing Committees. The Standing Committees consist of committees of legislators and staff who examine policy issues each year (just like us!). The committees meet each winter and spring, as well as at the NCSL Annual Meeting. For summaries of meeting sessions, navigate to the Standing Committees' homepage and click on individual committees' links. NLPES members, given our research expertise, can be a valuable resource to the Standing Committees, and the sessions and products can help us with our own policy research. |
