Skills Development Seminar

NLPES is one of four staff sections involved in the Skills Development Seminar for new staff or staff with new responsibilities. NLPES sponsors the Program Evaluation Track at this seminar, and recruits senior legislative auditors and evaluators to serve as trainers. The NCSL staff section contact for NLPES arranges for faculty travel, housing and makes sure that training materials are in place, onsite, for the Program Evaluation Track. Other arrangements forth is meeting are largely the responsibility of the Legislative Management Program at NCSL. The budget for the seminar is based entirely on its registration fees. Attendance at the Program Evaluation Track ranges between 18 and 25.
