Geoffrey L. Beauchamp, Esq, Wisler, Pearlstine, Talone, Craig,
Garrity & Potash, LLP Pennsylvania Geoffrey L. Beauchamp,
Esq. is a partner in the law firm of Wisler, Pearlstine, Talone, Craig, Garrity
& Potash in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. He is a former Assistant United
States Attorney and former head of the U.S. Attorney General's Advocacy
Institute. His practice areas include cable and telecommunications law as
well as intellectual property, with a specialty in communications piracy and
related legal issues. Since 1996, Mr. Beauchamp has been counsel to the
Broadband & Internet Security Task Force, a non-profit association comprised
of cable operators, programmers and anti-piracy technology companies. The
mission of the Task Force is to increase industry awareness about the new
security threats presented by digital technology and propose anti-piracy
countermeasures, including stronger and more comprehensive state anti-piracy
laws. In his capacity as Task Force counsel, Mr. Beauchamp was involved in the
preparation of the new anti-piracy statutes that have thus far been enacted in
eight states during the last three and one-half years. Mr. Beauchamp is a
graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and
Georgetown University Law Center.
Michael Petricone Vice President of Technology

vice president of technology policy for the Consumer Electronics
Association (CEA), which represents more than 1,000
U.S. manufacturers of audio, video, accessories,
mobile electronics, communication, information and multimedia products that are
sold through consumer channels. Mr. Petricone manages the government and
legal affairs department and is responsible for developing and implementing the
public policy priorities of CEA. He represents the technology industry’s
position before Congress, the Executive Branch and administrative agencies on
issues such as digital rights management, broadband and privacy. In
2003 he was featured by Dealerscope Magazine as one of the technology
industry’s “Top 40 Under 40”. Mr. Petricone received his law degree from
Georgetown University Law Center and his
undergraduate degree from Tufts University.
Vans Stevenson Senior Vice President State Legislative
Affairs Motion Picture Association of
America

Senior Vice President, State Legislative Affairs, for the Motion Picture
Association of America, Inc. (MPAA). Mr. Stevenson is responsible for the MPAA'
state legislative affairs department, which represents member companies before
state and local government legislative, executive and regulatory offices.
Mr. Stevenson is responsible for proposed legislation, rules and regulations
that affect motion picture, television and home entertainment product
distribution and production of MPAA member companies and the MPAA-administered
Motion Picture Rating System in all 50 states, three U.S. territories and at the
local level. In addition, he has been engaged in a number of federal
issues for the association. Prior to joining MPAA, he was director of corporate
affairs for Blockbuster Entertainment Corporation, and prior to Blockbuster, he
was director of public affairs and corporate projects for Erol’s, a 200 video
store chain that was acquired by Blockbuster. His career in media began in
the cable television division of Warner Communications (now Time Warner) where
he served as director of public relations, advertising sales, new market
development and government affairs. Mr. Stevenson holds a B.S. degree in
journalism from Ohio University and has completed
post-graduate studies at New York University and the
University of Cincinnati in public affairs, marketing
and business finance.
Marc Pearl, Executive Director Consumer Electronics Retailers

Pearl founded IT Policy Solutions in 2003 and now serves as principal and
chairman. He has worked on public policy issues in Washington,
DC for more than twenty years. The firm specializes in providing
government relations and public policy counsel to a wide range of providers and
users in the digital economy policy arena. Mr. Pearl specializes in cyber
security, privacy, ID management, new media, cross-border jurisdiction and
digital intellectual property rights issues. He also serves as Executive
Director of the Consumer Electronics Retailers Coalition (CERC) a public policy
trade association dedicated to the concerns of consumer electronics specialty
and general retailers and their customers. He served as SVP/Government Relations
Counsel and head of the eSolutions practice group at Fleishman-Hillard’s
government affairs’ subsidiary and the eCommerce policy practice group leader
and a partner at the international law firm of Shaw Pittman LLP. He has
represented the private sector on U.S.
government delegations at the World Trade Organization and the World
Intellectual Property Organization, and currently serves as the private sector’s
eCommerce representative on the U.S. State Department’s delegation to The Hague
Conference on Private International Law. Mr. Pearl was also a member of the
industry-negotiating team that advised Congress on the ISP provisions of the
Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998. Mr. Pearl was Chief of Staff,
Appropriations Committee associate and Legislative Counsel to senior members of
the U.S. Congress. He received his BA from Case Western Reserve
University and his law degree from Emory
University.
