The meeting of the Inside the Legislative Process (ILP) committee was called to order at 1:30 p.m. by Kirsten Waid (AK), Co chair.

Minutes of the committee meeting on August 14, 2006 in Nashville, Tennessee were approved.
Co-chair Kirsten Waid stated there were still 21 chambers that had not responded to the survey. Various committee members volunteered to contact the remaining non-responsive chambers. A copy of the survey will be emailed to all committee members, which may in turn be forwarded to chambers that may have misplaced their original survey form. The deadline to get those surveys in is, December 1, 2006.
Co-chair Suzi Lowell informed the group that the survey results will be available online (PDF) this fall, as per Brenda Erickson.
There was a brief discussion, initiated by David Surdez (MN) on the positive uses of the ILP booklet of compiled surveys.
Laura Clemens, new ASLCS president, stopped by and voiced her thanks and support to the committee as a whole.
David Surdez (MN) volunteered for the recorder position on the ILP committee.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
