The Fall meeting of the committee was called to order by Claire Clift (NV), Chair. The following members were present and introduced themselves:
Also in attendance: Brenda Erickson, NCSL Scott Maddrea moved, with Ann-Marie Sweeney seconding, that the minutes of the last meeting of the committee be approved. The motion carried on a voice vote. Claire reported that the survey that was sent out went from 3-4 topics to 2 topics and the length decreased to 9-10 pages. It was noted that there were 13 houses that had not yet responded to the survey, making it almost 100 percent participation. The Chair accepted volunteers to contact those houses and encourage them to return their surveys. The following committee members will make contact:
It was suggested that the members touch base with the contacts by phone 1st and then follow up with e-mail. The absolutely final date of return for the surveys is December 1 so that Brenda can complete the compilation of data. Bruce Jamerson, President of ASLCS, spoke briefly to the group. Brenda Erickson will continue to compile the results of the surveys already returned and it is hoped that she will have a draft of the report for the Spring meeting in March. An electronic copy of the survey will be sent to Annette Moore and anyone else who requests one. The Chair thanked Brenda for all of her hard work and assistance. Ann-Marie moved, with Mary Jo Mongelli seconding, that the meeting be adjourned. The motion carried and the committee was adjourned. Respectfully submitted, |
