Denise Weeks reported on the committee meeting in Little Rock in April. Chair Wadsworth and Vice-Chair Moore were unable to attend that meeting due to illness.
ASLCS President JoAnn Hedrick and Associate Vice-Chair Tara Perkins told the committee about the recent Canadian Clerks-at-the-Table (CATTs) meeting which they attended on behalf of the Society in Whitehorse, Yukon. As is always the case at these meetings, they had a wonderful time!
Discussion then centered on the need to select a site for the Joint Canadian-American meeting to be held in the fall of 2007. It is our turn to host this meeting. Earlier suggested sites proved to be unworkable for a variety of reasons. Rob Marchant expressed interest in hosting the meeting in Madison, but needs more information. Other venues were also suggested by committee members. This decision must be made at our meeting in Austin, Texas in September.
With no other business to come before the committee, the meeting was adjourned at 3:53 pm.
