Seminar RegistrationRegistration fees for the ASLCS Professional Development Seminar are: Legislative staff $325 Spouse/guest $195 All others $500 Registration. Please use the online registration form or complete the printable registration form. The deadline for registering is August 31, 2007. Online Registration: Online registration is now available! Registration online requires a credit card for everyone except legislators and legislative staff. Confirmations will be sent by e-mail, and meeting materials will be mailed. Those without an e-mail address may request to receive their confirmation in the mail. Onsite Registration: If you are unable to meet the August 31, 2007, registration deadline, please register onsite at the Wyndham Burlington. Spouse/Guest Registration. The $195 fee includes admission to all scheduled meal functions and evening social events. It must be paid in full at the time of registration. Cancellations. Cancellations received in the NCSL Denver office by September 11 will be refunded minus a $50 processing fee. Cancellations must be made in writing and faxed to (303) 364-7811 or emailed to registration@ncsl.org. Fees cannot be refunded for registrations cancelled after the conference begins. Confirmations. Confirmations will be e-mailed if an address is provided. Letter confirmations will be mailed upon request. Hotel ReservationsA block of rooms has been reserved at the Wyndham Burlington, 60 Battery Street, Burlington, Vermont 05401. Each attendee is responsible for making his or her own hotel and travel arrangements. Contact the Wyndham Burlington at (802) 658-6500 or (800) 658-6504. When arranging hotel accommodations, please indicate that you are attending the ASLCS conference to receive the rate of $129 per night (excluding tax). Reservations must be held by one night's room deposit (a major credit card guarantee is acceptable). The cut-off date to receive the negotiated seminar rate is August 15, 2007. UPDATE: The Wyndham Burlington is sold out September 12-17. A block of overflow rooms has been secured under the ASLCS name at the Sheraton Burlington, 870 Williston Road, Burlington, VT 05403. The rate is $149/night. The hotel's number is (802) 865-6600. Information on transportation to and from the Sheraton to the Hilton and to host state events will be forthcoming. Travel InformationPlease book your flight through Andavo Travel, NCSL's official travel headquarters, by calling (800) 825-3283 or in Colorado, (303) 694-4344. Andavo maintains a 24-hour, toll-free line for changes and emergencies.
The Vermont Host State Committee recommends that attendees travel through the Burlington International Airport. Vermont also is served by other regional airports including Bradley International Airport in Hartford (a three-hour drive), Manchester Airport (a three and one-half hour drive), Albany International Airport (a four-hour drive) and Montreal Trudeau International Airport (a one and one-half hour drive). A passport is required for travel between the United State and Canada. Vermont also has an interstate network, well-maintained state roads and four ferries between Vermont and New York, and daily Amtrak service from Washington D.C. and New York City. The host state will not provide transportation from the airport to the hotel; cabs are available at the Burlington International Airport. The hotel has an airport shuttle that can accommodate a limited number of passengers. To better assist the hotel, it is advisable to call prior to arrival in Burlington to arrange a shuttle pick up.
