Hotel Reservations - IMPORTANT UPDATE - AUGUST 21, 2006
The Omni Austin Hotel Downtown is now SOLD OUT for the dates of the meeting. NCSL has contracted with an overflow hotel to secure another block of rooms. Please call the Austin Marriott at the Capitol, 701 E. 11th Street, Austin, TX 78701 at (512) 478-1111 or visit the hotel's website at http://marriott.com/property/propertypage/AUSDT to receive the negotiated room rate of $134 per night. All reservation requests will require a credit card or 1 night's deposit. Deposits will be refunded for rooms cancelled more than 72 hours prior to arrival. Name changes to room reservations may be made up to 2 days prior to arrival at no charge.
The cut-off date for this new block of rooms is WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6. Please make your reservations as soon as possible if you plan to be at the meeting.

Legislative clerks, secretaries and their staffs work in a unique environment for which little formal training is available. The American Society of Legislative Clerks and Secretaries (ASLCS) responds to these training needs by offering a seminar emphasizing the development of professional skills. The purposes of the ASLCS Professional Development Seminar is to improve the administrative and parliamentary effectiveness of state legislatures, to develop procedures to enhance lawmaking, and to provide a forum where legislative staff can meet and learn from their counterparts in other states.

Onsite Registration: If you are unable to meet the September 6, 2005, registration deadline, please register on-site at the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown.
Spouse/Guest Registration. The $195 fee includes admission to all scheduled meal functions and evening social events. It must be paid in full at the time of registration.
Cancellations. Cancellations received in the NCSL Denver Office by September 19, 2006, will be refunded minus a $50 processing fee. Cancellations must be made in writing and faxed to (303) 364-7800. Fees cannot be refunded for registrations cancelled after the conference begins.
Confirmations. Confirmations will be e-mailed if an address is provided. Letter confirmations are mailed every Friday up to the conference start date.
