Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provides state synopses of dental public health programs. Includes demographics of the state, information on state run programs, and dental director contact information. Community Catalyst Addressing Oral Health Needs: A How-To Guide 
In collaboration with Health Care For All, Community Catalyst has produced this report which profiles innovative projects and policy initiatives that have been developed to serve populations in need of affordable dental care. These include programs like the Chopper Topper Dental Sealant Program in Colorado and the Access to Baby and Child Dentistry Program (ABCD) in Washington State. (2002)

Louisiana- Brushing Up On Children's Oral Health in Louisiana: A Policy Brief documents the importance of good oral health in children and highlights some of the barriers that children and families face when trying to access oral health services in Louisiana. The brief's focus areas include prevention, provider participation in Medicaid/LaCHIP, dentists' availability, community education, and children with special health care needs. A summary table outlines the focus areas and offers recommendations for addressing access barriers statewide. References are also provided.

National Governors' Association
NEW ISSUE BRIEF HIGHLIGHTS STATE EFFORTS TO IMPROVE CHILDREN'S ORAL HEALTH
State Efforts to Improve Children's Oral Health, an issue brief published by the National Governors' Association Center for Best Practices, presents information on the problems, costs, and access and workforce issues confronting children's oral health. The staff of the center's health policy studies division compiled information on how specific states are addressing problems in promoting education and prevention, increasing coverage and access, enhancing the dental work force, improving financing and reimbursement, and improving the quality of data and surveillance. The authors suggest that states can use a combination of approaches to improve the quality of children's oral health. The issue brief is intended to provide governors and others interested in child oral health policy with tools and information on innovative and cost-effective services. National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research
Provides access to articles on oral health, disparities, and solutions.

National Maternal and Child Oral Health Resource Center
(OHRC) responds to the needs of states and communities in addressing current and emerging public oral health issues. OHRC supports health professionals, program administrators, educators, policymakers, and others with the goal of improving oral health services for infants, children, adolescents, and their families. The resource center collaborates with federal, state, and local agencies; national and state organizations and associations; and foundations, to gather, develop, and share quality and valued information and materials.
