Quick Reference Fiscal Table

State Individual Income Taxes

The following seven states have no individual income tax:

Alaska
Florida
Nevada
South Dakota
Texas
Washington
Wyoming

Two states have limited individual income tax:

New Hampshire--Only interest and dividends are taxed.
Tennessee--Only interest and dividends are taxed.

The other forty-one states have an individual income tax.

State Sales Tax

The following states have no sales tax:

Alaska (local sales taxes are additional)
Delaware
Montana
New Hampshire
Oregon

State Fiscal Years

The fiscal years of all states but four end on June 30:

Alabama (ends Sept. 30)
Michigan (ends Sept. 30)
New York (ends March 31)
Texas (ends Aug. 31)
