Fiscal Affairs ProgramGoverning for ResultsIowaLinks active September 28, 2000 Overview: Iowa's Budgeting for Results process has been primarily an executive branch activity focusing on long-range state strategic planning with citizen involvement, management improvements, and improved information about state government for citizens. Studies: The Government Accounting Standards Board has released a case study on the use and the effects of using performance measures for budgeting, management and reporting in Iowa. The report includes links to relevant agencies, programs and documents. Agencies:
Manual/Instructions:The Program "Achieving Results for Iowans" encompasses the executive branch initiatives in strategic planning, program planning, budgeting for results, and performance evaluation. The Department of Management coordinates the project.
