Overview: Iowa's Budgeting for Results process has been primarily an executive branch activity focusing on long-range state strategic planning with citizen involvement, management improvements, and improved information about state government for citizens.

Studies: The Government Accounting Standards Board has released a case study on the use and the effects of using performance measures for budgeting, management and reporting in Iowa. The report includes links to relevant agencies, programs and documents.
