Meeting Purpose

The 2003 National Asbestos Meeting will bring together state and federal regulatory and enforcement personnel to discuss asbestos regulatory issues.

Registration Fee

There is a $100 registration fee for this meeting if you register before September 27, 2003. If you pay after October 1, 2003, the cost is $150.00 and on-site registration is $150. Checks should be made payable to NCSL. The fee is nonrefundable.

Hotel Reservations

National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) National Asbestos Meeting

Please call the Holiday Inn directly by September 27 to confirm your reservations, and ask to be placed on the NCSL or National Asbestos Conference Block. The conference rate is $57 per night for a single. A credit card guarantee will be required at that time. Participants will be responsible for all of their own expenses.

Air Travel Reservations

(A special discount is available to meeting attendees who use the NCSL travel airline. Contact NCSL's travel headquarters, Andavo Travel, at 1/800/825-3283, ask for the NCSL Travel Desk and they will identify the appropriate flights and make your reservations. All attendees are responsible for their own travel costs -- NCSL will NOT reimburse any travel expenses.

Ground Transportation

The hotel recommends Airport Express and their number is 757 857 3991. Upon arrival at the airport and once the attendee has his/her luggage he should exit door #3 and Airport Express has a kiosk set up there. They just need to let the person know which hotel they are going to. The shuttle departs on an as needed basis and is not on a set schedule. The cost is $28/person one-way or $51/person round-trip. If purchasing a round-trip ticket they should let the shuttle service know that when they arrive. The hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport.

Meals

Plenary lunch on Tuesday is covered in your registration. All other meals are on your own.
