National Laboratories

Argonne National Laboratory - Argonne is one of the U.S. Department of Energy's largest research centers. It is also the nation's first national laboratory, chartered in 1946.

Brookhaven National Laboratory - The Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory conducts research in the physical, biomedical, and environmental sciences, as well as in energy technologies.

Idaho National Laboratory - The INL is a multi-purpose national laboratory delivering science and engineering solutions to the world's environmental, energy, and security challenges.

Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory - The Berkeley Lab, located on a 200 acre site in the hills above the University of California's Berkeley campus, adjacent to the San Francisco Bay, is the oldest of the U.S. Department of Energy's National Laboratories.

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory - Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is focused on national security and applies science and technology to problems of the time.

Los Alamos National Laboratory - A Department of Energy laboratory managed by the University of California.

Oak Ridge National Laboratory - Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) conducts basic and applied research and development to create scientific knowledge and technological solutions that strengthen the nation's leadership in key areas of science; increase the availability of clean, abundant energy; restore and protect the environment; and contribute to national security.

Sandia National Laboratory - Chartered in 1949, Sandia National Laboratory has developed science based technologies focused on national security.
