State Bottle Bill Programs


State bottle bills are a good way to encourage recycling.  A monetary refund on some bottles provides even more incentive to recycle containers.  Eleven states have bottle deposit statutes and a list of those citations follow:
(Note: Many of the statutes have been revised more than once since they were first adopted.)
