Deadlines loom to reduce mercury emissions

In dozens of states, lawmakers have outlawed an array of consumer products containing mercury, including figurines, practical joke supplies and other toys, games, greeting cards, holiday ornaments and yard statues, candles, and jewelry, footwear and other apparel.
