San Antonio, Texas — December 5-6, 2006

Although many state energy efficiency programs show sustained success, there is still more that can be done to use energy wisely.  State policies that support appliance standards, building codes, tax incentives and utility programs can achieve enhanced energy efficiency.  Innovative and effective state policies also serve as a model for national policy.  Energy efficiency policies and programs allow states to extend our resources and consider the economic and environmental aspects of our energy use.
