Education Finance Litigation

Besides state legislatures, it can be argued that the courts have historically played the largest role in shaping education finance policy. Every year numerous states are engaged in education finance cases, with 19 states involved in cases in 2002 alone. The following provides useful information to legislators and legislative staff on the history, current status, and state specific examples of education finance litigation.
