LESN has partnered with the Data Quality Campaign (DQC) to host a series of web-based seminars for legislative staff on data use and data quality.   We are proud to announce that the first seminar, Why are Longitudinal Data Systems Necessary?, will be on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 starting at 11:00 am Mountain Standard Time.

In this session, you will:

  • Discuss the types of key policy questions that can only be answered with longitudinal data
  • Learn why it is important to connect P-12 to higher education data and back again to ensure college and career readiness
  • Hear about ways to improve the USE of longitudinal data in order to improve student achievement (It’s not enough to just collect the data)
  • Find out how these systems can be built and utilized all while protecting student privacy

Additional information will be forthcoming. Please contact Sara Vitaska at 303-856-1647 or sara.vitaska@ncsl.org if you have any questions. We look forward to your participation!
