Moving Education Into the 21st Century

EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY PARTNERSHIP:
There is a consensus emerging that the education system of the 20th century is not producing the types of students or workers needed for the new challenges of the 21st century. A proposal from the NCSL Foundation for State Legislatures and the NCSL Education Program invites state legislators and staffers to join a partnership that will:
- Elevate the discussion about education technology on state legislative agendas.
- Help legislators understand how technology, thoughtfully implemented in education, can move schools and students into the 21st century.
- Gain an understanding of the education technology legislation being proposed and passed.
- Create opportunities for 1) private partners to learn about the legislative perspective of education technology and 2) for legislators to learn from private partners about the benefits of technology in education.
Project Proposal Members from the education technology industry will work together with legislators and legislative staff as NCSL helps move education policy into the 21st century. See the project proposal for more information or contact:
