Mortgage Lending
Updated: May 2008
Purchasing a home can be the largest purchase a consumer may make in his or her lifetime. According to the recent American Community Survey by the U.S. Census Bureau, homeownership has increased since 2000. More than two-thirds of occupied homes are currently owned by the occupant compared to homes that are rented by the occupant.
