PISA Plenary Session

The Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) looks at 15-year-old students' achievement in reading, math and science literacy in industrialized countries. It is a much-anticipated measure of how U.S. students compare to their counterparts elsewhere. Hear from Andreas Schleicher of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on the just-released results of the latest PISA test. A discussion by a distinguished panel on implications for the teaching profession, education reforms in the states and the future of the U.S. workforce follows. Learn what the PISA assessment can tell state policymakers about the impact of education policy changes.
