Driving Tour and Lunch

Frankly, my dears, you won’t want to miss this tour of all the major sights and landmarks in Atlanta - the iconic Fox Theatre, the Georgian Terrace, where Gone With the Wind premiered, Midtown, full of restaurants and trendy boutiques, the Margaret Mitchell House, the High Museum of Art, designed by Richard Meier and the 32-acre Atlanta History Museum.

Tour the beautiful garden nestled within a city! The Atlanta Botanical Gardens is a feast for the senses with many unique botanical wonders. From the Edible Garden and Outdoor Kitchen to the fragrant Rose Garden, there is something for anyone with a nose for nature!

You’ll dine at one the most elite clubs in Atlanta, the Piedmont Driving Club. Built in 1884, it remains one of the oldest and most prestigious private country clubs in the South, the perfect place to celebrate Atlanta and its Southern Heritage.

Next you'll have the rare opportunity to see Vermeer’s famous “Girl with the Pearl Earring”—at the High Museum of Art with its renowned 12,000-piece collection of classic and contemporary art and architecture.

Wednesday, August 14

TOUR OF DREAMS $65
9 am - 4 pm
Start the day with a visit to the Carter Presidential Library and Museum, where you’ll experience “A Day in the Life of a President” in a replica of the Oval Office.

From there it’s on to lunch at the famous Mary Mac’s Tea Room which has been pleasing locals for 67 years. You’ll get the chance to savor what the South is known for—fresh fried chicken, green beans, fried okra and much more.

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s inspiring “I Have a Dream” speech with a tour of the Martin Luther King, Jr., Center for Nonviolent Social Change. Visit Dr. King's birth home and see the stirring eternal flame that lights his tomb, as well as the Ebenezer Baptist Church where he was baptized as a child and later served as a preacher. You will also visit the Exhibition Hall which displays a collection of photographs and memorabilia covering Dr. King’s public and private life.

Enjoy lunch on your own in the world famous CNN Center.

Then choose between a backstage view of the world famous CNN Center or go behind the scene at the world's largest aquarium and experience the underwater world of belugas and whale sharks from the top of the tank. Tours are limited and first come, first-served.
