Tuesday, Aug. 7 - "The Art of Discovery"

Afternoon Tea at the Drake - $65
1:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m.

Princess Diana. Elizabeth Taylor. Marilyn Monroe. All these famous icons have been guests at Chicago’s famous Drake Hotel. Now it’s your turn to experience this Chicago gem. Guests will enjoy exclusive use of the classic and historical Drake Palm Court while they indulge in rich blends of tea accompanied by an assortment of gourmet finger sandwiches, decadent pastries and fresh scones.

Guest Program

The $125 guest fee includes: 

  • Shuttle service between most conference hotels and McCormick Place West.
  • Attendance at any of the 100 issue sessions.
  • Attendance at keynote sessions.
  • Admission to the exhibit hall.
  • Exhibit hall luncheon.
  • Opening Reception-Windy City Welcome at the Museum of Science and Industry.
  • Closing Event-Musical Feast Finale at Millennium Park.


Wednesday, Aug.8 - "The Art of Architecture"

Architecture River Cruise - $45
1:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
Marvel at the soaring towers of Chicago’s Loop while enjoying the sparkling river views as an expert docent provides fun and informative facts about the city’s growing skyline. This private 90-minute river cruise spotlights more than 50 historic and architecturally significant sites where you will discover a whole new perspective on the City of Big Shoulders. Light snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase on the boat.
All guest tours will depart and return at Gates 43 and 44.

Attendees must be registered for the Summit in order to sign up for tours. Tours are provided on a first-come, first served basis and are an additional fee.

Cancellations will be allowed without penalty through Monday, July 16, 2012. After that date, no refund can be provided for any cancellations or no-shows, although substitutions will be allowed and payments may be credited toward the purchase of another tour, based on availability.
